Every time I show homes this time of year, buyers ask the same thing: what’s there to actually do here? This weekend has a good answer. Here’s what’s on my list.
1. Canal Convergence at the Scottsdale Waterfront
Through Sun., Nov. 15 · Evenings · Free
Ten nights of big light-art installations along the canal, plus fire performances and live music. The theme this year is Western Nature. Go after dark and walk the canal from Scottsdale Road toward Marshall Way.
Jared’s tip: Park in a free Old Town garage and walk over. Grab dinner in Old Town first. canalconvergence.com

2. Kierland Fine Art & Wine Festival
Sat. & Sun., Nov. 7–8 · 10 a.m.–5 p.m. · Free admission
More than 100 artists at Kierland Commons with live music. Wine lovers can buy a Willcox Wine Country tasting pass (10 tastings plus a souvenir glass).
Jared’s tip: Valet is off Kierland Blvd. at 71st St. Pick up coffee at La La Land Kind Café on the way in. kierlandcommons.com/festival

3. Scottsdale Italian Festival

The 11th annual festival from the Italian Association of Arizona: food, wine and live performances in the heart of Old Town. italianassociation.org
